Brethren Infotech starts third development center in Salt Lake City, Kolkata. The new development center is to focus on web development, especially e-commerce development as well as software development. The other two existing centers will now focus on the customer support and technical support, in which Brethren has already created it's own niche.

"Having a software and web development center in Salt Lake will help us not only to bring in local customers, whom we had not targeted so far, but will also help us to differentiate our two major divisions, each of which can work independently and will not be effected any way by each other." said Miraj M. Sheikh, CEO. He further added "By focusing more in capturing Indian market, we predict a 70% increase in revenue from Indian market within the next one year. We also foresee a boost in revenue from Web Development and Software Development"

Work has already started on the new center and few local projects are already in pipeline. Brethren plans to employ 50 more developers, including web designers, graphic designers, web programmers, application programmers and database programmers in the next few months for it's new center. Brethren is also recruiting expert professionals for marketing and business development in Indian market.

Brethren Infotech starts giving email based customer support services to a major distributor of music in Germany. The company will handle all customer queries, technical queries, product queries, order handling as well as take part in email notifications, newsletter distribution, sales campaigns, email surveys and other email based campaigns.

A  new team consisting of experienced EDA developers and software programmers and bright fresh graduates have been developed for this purpose. The EDA team is headed by Samik Basu and the software team by the CEO himself.

The tsunamis that swept across the Indian Ocean recently killed more than 200,000 people and left millions more injured and homeless.  In response to this crisis, Brethren Infotech has  created the Tsunami  Fund to direct resources to the vital task of mid- and long-term relief and reconstruction in India, Indonesia, Srilanka and Thiland. To carry out its operations of helping out the victims, it has joined hands with an NGO Swopnokeet, a volutary organization involved in rehabilitation of the victims.

The organization will work at the Tsunami sites and will help in upbringing of the lost properties as well as taking care of  few orphans resulted due to the tsunami. Brethren Infotech will provide financial, logistics and technical support in carrying out the novel task.
